About the Book:
Deep in the gritty underbelly of New Orleans, psychologist Grayson Thibodeaux loses everything when his wife leaves him to climb her company’s corporate ladder. He buries himself in his job of creating mind-bending adventure games for businesses as team-building explorations. When his ex-wife’s company hires Grayson’s to create an elaborate game, he doesn’t see how things can get worse. Until she dies during the course of the game he created…making him the prime suspect for murder.
This thriller kept me guessing at who the real murderer was (and I was totally shocked when the culprit was revealed!). Grayson is simply a good kind of guy- he's intelligent, cares about his friends and family, is humble- an all-around nice guy. Although glimpses of his wounds over Anna Belle's betrayal surface throughout the story, her death devastates him. Not only does he have to deal with the pain of her death, but he now has to face the immense pressure of having to clear his name when a cop with a grudge against him targets him for her murder. As the evidence and key players unfold, the reader finds that almost all of the characters have a reason to want Anna Belle dead. Caroll delivers an exciting- and unexpected- ending as the killer finally meets justice!
