The Proposal: A Christmas Short Story continues the romance that began in Wade's A Love Like Ours between single mom Amber Richardson and her firefighter boyfriend, Will McGrath. After dating for some time, Amber's thoughts have drifted to marriage, but a proposal from Will has still not surfaced. One evening during the Christmas season as Amber was on her way to visit Will at work, a flat tire sets into motion a comical string of events leading to a most happy ending. After walking miles to the fire station, Amber finds herself in a surreal vaudeville sideshow-type scenario where she is serenaded, danced, and dashed through the station to a waiting Will who has the best Christmas gift ever for Amber- the proposal she's dreamed of! Sweet story that's fun and fanciful, but still full of romance!
