After attending her college reunion, Ava Kingsley is reunited with her news column writing partner, Seth Walker. Although they rarely saw eye-to-eye on matters while in school, they begin a long-distance friendship through emails after reconnecting and quickly become best friends. Their friendship is so close that when Ava loses her job, Seth immediately offers the open apartment above his new restaurant as a place for Ava to regroup as she seeks new direction for her career. As they begin spending more time with each other, Ava’s feelings shift from friendship to something more but unfortunately for her, Seth is already in a serious relationship. Only when Seth is faced with losing Ava as she considers a job back in her hometown in another state does Seth come to realize that his affections for her may have shifted to something deeper as well.
Tagg transforms the intimacy of Ava and Seth’s friendship into a sweet romance! The easy going nature of their friendship naturally evolves into something deeper, and the way they “reveal” their feelings for each other was unexpected and adorable! Enjoyed this read and opening to a great series by Tagg!
